The computer that has served me so well for over eight years has been 'retired' downstairs. The fan had slipped its bearings a while back and makes a loud grating sound, the modem card died earlier this year and even the Firewire wasn't working when I tried it last month. Today was a first for me. There was snow in my home town. I was at the gym at Blockhouse Bay and little white flakes were getting blown through on the wind. So naturally I finished my set. Tomorrow morning after Church at 7:30 we're heading down the road to Wellington. We're going to get my sister-in-law down to the other end of the North Island for a few days. Verity has managed to do something her father has never done: Break her leg. She was just running in the lounge. We didn't hear any thump or crash and there was nothing to trip over, she just started crying and we saw her lying on the floor. Last night I read Symeon a story that I was read as a little boy, about a red lighthouse and a big grey bridge. This afternoon Symeon found a board game that I used to play as a boy and although he doesn't know how to play it, it hasn't stopped him from racing the little racing cars around the racing track board.

I was just getting back into the swing of LJ and my computer caught a virus. After purging the suspect files it knocked out the ability to open programmes. Then it came back again and whilst I've purged it this time I haven't restored its ability to open programmes.
