If there is anyone who deserves a weekend run-away, it's you. You're truly a saint.
I hope you have a good time, honey.

You would fit in so well with my Austen-loving cousins. These are the ones who love to have the BBC movie fest weekends.

You should do that meme. It wouldn't surprise me if your time was 11:59 am as well. Just saying, our similarities don't surprise me that much anymore. Go ahead, prove me wrong. :)

If I were in your shoes, I would have already run away from home! I don't know how you do it all.

Oh, I've imagined running away quite often in recent months. Or just napping. That sounds lovely too. I honestly don't know how I've managed to take care of everything and everybody these last six months. Although I'm really quite tired physically, I'm very thankful I still feel mentally and emotionally strong. I think if my head and heart can make it through this, my body will just have to rest later. :)

You need a nice banner:

When all of this is over, I'm going to have a nervous breakdown. I've worked hard for it, I deserve it, and no one's going to take it away from me!

After six months of dealing with family illnesses, it's definitely time for me to retreat and regroup. I'm starting to get a little weary. I still feel a little hesitant about leaving right now, but I think I've got everything covered/delegated for my absence. That being said, I'm really looking forward to D.C. and spending some time with my cousins. :)

I'm really sorry to hear about your uncle's medical condition. My grandfather died from a brain tumor. They had him in the hospital to take it out the day after they found the "suspicious lesion" on his scan, and even though the surgery and radiation bought us a little more time with him (though not very much), he was never the same after the operation. I'll keep your family in my thoughts and prayers.

From one book-lover to another...stop buying books?! That's just crazy talk!

It's horrible what tumors/cancer in the brain can do to a person. My uncle was diagnosed in September with brain/lung/bone cancer and I think the chemo/radiation made those first three months a little better, quality-wise, for him. He was himself at least. The last two months have been hell for him. Thanks for the good thoughts/prayers.
