Wow, Sherry, you poor thing! *hugs* I wish I was close enough to bring by some soup and lemonade for you. Hope you feel better soon! And yay for your loss of pounds and book goals -- I'm on book four and I thought I was doing good :D
Thank you, Liss. I really appreciate your 'get well' wishes. I am feeling some better today.
January is usually a good reading month for me but I need to try keeping it up throughout the year. February is already looking to be a busy month. The dyslexic tutoring program where I volunteer will be starting up again in a few weeks. So even if I’m not reading that much, at least I’ll be helping others to read. :)
Feel better soon! Strep throat is the ick. I was a military brat and lived in Rhode Island for a while, where strep is so common the area is considered part of the strep throat belt. If you have a sore throat they pretty much automatically do a throat culture to rule it out... so I've been there. Take care!
It is hard to believe I’ve made it this far in life never having had the dreaded strep. I could have really done without this experience too, I tell ya. It’s such an nasty feeling illness; I just knew something evil had invaded my body. You’re right; the antibiotics have already made an improvement.
I also like the honey/lemon combo. I’ve got some lovely lemon/honey sticks to stir into my tea. :)
*hugs back* Thanks, Anne. I’ve had pharyngitis before but, in hindsight and by comparison, strep throat is indeed the nastiest of throat inflammations. I am feeling some better today.
Well, I hope you start to feel better soon. It's never pleasant to be sick. ::hands you more chicken soup:: I know you're swimming in it, but have some, anyway.
That’s 20 points to your house for appropriate use of an icon. Because, *SCREAMS* I’d need more than chicken soup if I failed passed that test. And no, before you ask, I didn’t have to pee on the strep test. :D Cotton swab technology is just not that far advanced.
