Kaoru was one of the few who didn't mind the rainy weather so much. Storms were interesting, a shake up of the normal sky; some people called them frightening, but he and his brother usually viewed stormy skies with a speck more interest than normal, especially huddled up together under a blanket, drinking expensive hot chocolate and planning their newest scheme

Darya relaxed, her shoulders falling back into something that was near a comfortable slouch, when she recognized who was behind her. Noting the lack of one of the twins, she took a brief moment to wonder why he was alone, but didn't give voice to the question. She did, however, study the redhead for a moment, trying to determine which twin it was, though she knew that she would only be guessing even if she got it right. There was a difference between them, but she hadn't had enough time to figure it out yet. She still needed to make a point of observing them more carefully in the future

"I'm Kaoru," He corrected easily, hardly noticing it himself. His eyes followed hers out the window at the flash of light, and the beginnings of rain from the heavens. It was odd to find a girl who didn't shy away from the storm and lightening, and he had caught the slight widening of her eyes. He glanced back at her a moment later, still with that gentle smile of his. "Did I surprise you?"
He had been trying to be quiet, that was all. It wouldn't do if he got kicked out of the library today, especially when his brother came to find him.
He relaxed on the other side of the window, facing her across the flashes of lightening and crossing his arms comfortably over his chest. At least he had found something to entertain him...
"I'm fine, Darya-san. Yourself? What brings you to the library on a lovely day like this?" His eyes went back out the window, his tone not at all sarcastic. He really did like storms...
"Just a litle, Kaoru-kun," she replied. There as no point in lying and say that he hadn't surprised her. Darya made it a point to tell the truth as often as possible, even if she sometimes told the truth very creatively and with much twisting of words. "I wasn't expecting anyone to come up to me. Usually people don't." Setting the book down on the sill, her attetion briefly drifted to the dark skies outside. It was shaping up to be quite a nice little storm, really, she thought. It brought a smile to her face

He was quite certain that he had left Kaoru in the library. There was no way that he would leave his twin anywhere without making sure he knew WHERE it was. Then... why wasn't he in the library? Or in the class room. Or in the music room. Or in the bathrooms

He had stopped the moment he heard his name, and had just enough time to turn around before the comforting warmth of his brother enveloped him.
"Ah," Kaoru began softly, gently releasing Darya's arm. "I'm sorry, Hikaru... I wasn't gone that long, was I?" He returned his brother's embrace tightly, closing his eyes. He really hadn't thought Hikaru would have so much trouble finding them. Maybe he should've waited in the library...
Darya took a step away from the twins, not wanting to get between them. She smiled faintly at them for a moment, feeling bad that she had caused either of them any distress. She almost felt like was intruding on them, just standing there and watching them. At least she knew for certain now that Kaoru hadn't been lying about who he was earlier. Maybe she shouldn't have suggested going out into the rain in the first place.
"I'm sorry, Hikaru-kun. I'm afraid I stole Kaoru away for a little while. I didn't think we'd be so hard to find." Turning, the girl started towards the field again, figuring if the twins wanted to follow, they would. If not, well, she was used to solitude anyway.
Hikaru straightened his posture, passing a hand over his eyes briefly before grinning down at Darya. "It's alright, I was just a little out of it.. and I didn't think try and ask anyone if they had seen Kaoru..." Despite this, he slipped his hand into Kaoru's and squeezed it gently.
His expression fell as he looked down at his injured arm. "Damn... I should get out of the rain... before this gets too wet..." He offered a crooked grin.
((OOC: Arg I wasn't going to let myself forget that he still had a cast AND I DID. SO I REMEMEMBERED NOW. REMEMBERED. Too many syllables xD;;))
