Tutorial #3
Today, you'll be learning how to make the icon at the left from [ THIS ] image found at animevisions.net
Open up the image in PSP or whatever you use. Crop the image & resize to 100x100.
Duplicate the background layer, sharpen it, and set it to burn.
Create a new layer and set it to exclusion. Fill it with the color #220048
Make another new layer and set it to overlay. Fill it with the pink fade gradient. I filled it on a 100x100 icon [ HERE ] for you PS users.
Another new layer. Set this one to dodge at 25% and fill it with red (#ff0000)
Lay over [ THIS ] texture, found at
soulspring, set at screen.
I set over [ THIS ] mask that I made & set it to screen, above the other layers.
Finally, I applied the text "fantasy" ( without the quotes) in the font Miss. I also typed in some random letters in very tiny text in Times New Roman and layed it right below "fantasy"
Last step, but it's optional. I applied a black border. And another border, using one of the light-burned colors in the image as the color. Finally, I converted the borders layer into a raster layer and erased the top and bottom lines of the inner-border.
