So, I am taking notes on this author's book - Schofield's Peasant and Community in Medieval England and in summarizing a point he makes, I wrote the following bit in my notes:
"often people bought up land not to compete with the community but to support them"

Later, in his own summary of the section, Philip Schofield wrote the following:

I, too, find this amazingly weird! If that doesn't prove you're meant to write books on medieval history, I don't know what does!
