I finished my Door Decs! All that's left is to put the names on them. And yes Julia, they ARE corn cobs, and I had a lot of fun making them. They say "Welcome to Cornell" And the "corn" part of Cornell is underlined. I'M SUCH A LOSER AND I LOVE PUNS ( Read more... )

Oh excellent, so happy to hear about your skills. That said, can you go steal that BALLARD RD sign for me? I never got around to it. Please and thank you. :)

THAT MOVIE WAS FILMED IN TACOMA! Only 10 blocks from my house! (Which, mind you, is actually 5 blocks FURTHER AWAY from my house than that triple homocide, but that's Tacoma for you). And somehow it is super sunny. Yet, that really was the case, because I always see the Sound looming in the background!
Send your brother, who WILL NOT CARE, on a quest to the house they live in: 21st and Junett. It's a good bike ride.

Oh, and another thing re: stolen street signs. Dave, Jordan and I once came across a knocked down road sign whilst in transit to Jordan's house. Our natural inclination? To pull over (on that horribly bendy and dangerous road) and claim it for our own. But who else should drive by in the middle of this attempted felony than Ruthann Christensen. She laughed at our shenanigans and then made us cookies. I love Ruthann.

Didn't anyone else have to read the book in seventh grade about these kids that stole a stop sign and then some car didn't stop and there was an accident and someone DIED?????

I love the idea of your door decs, actually.

Funny about the foodstuffs. You know I've been living off my own food all summer, and I was like, "Dude I need to flippin' eat this all to make room for Amy when she shows up." Anyway! One thing I don't like about this room is that there are no huge cabinets like our last room. This means that food storage might be best under the bed? My whole skinny bookshelf is currently food, and I also have food all over your desk, haha. So we need to figure that out ;-)

Haha okay, yeah freshman year foodstorage was an "Under the Bed" sort of thing - I had a tub (your mom would never have believed me). I was actually thinking yesterday and worrying about the like general lack of storage when compared to storage-spacious Dows. Hm... conundrum. Oh well, I'll just be motivated to bring less stuff! I think this is actually the primary reason we can't loft our beds - We need that space to put shit!
