Luna anticipated every trip to Hogsmeade. The combined energy of a wizarding school and an all-magical community in such proximity attracted the most interesting animals. Each time she ventured past the protective barriers, she might glimpse a rare and exciting magical creature.
She yearned to prove the existence of the Blibbering Humdinger to her classmates. She dreamed of capturing a Nargle on film and seeing her photograph on the Quibbler cover. She went weak at the idea of discovering an entirely new species. Of naming it. Describing its habits and peculiarities. Her father would be so proud.
