Looking for a visual reference for bull pup, I tried Google images. It corrected me to bullpup. Somehow, I don't think the Watsons will be getting a dog.

But I woke in the small hours this morning thinking "Giant Rat of Sumatra!"

Point of Knives, by Melissa Scott, surpassed my expectations. I hope response to this new novella and the new editions of Point of Hopes and Point of Dreams will warrant at least one more novel in this setting from Scott.
