omg you have a balconey!!? I am sooo envious. I dream of barbecues and reading in the sun with my feet up on the rail and stargazing and and and...

;)

I hope your floor is okay after getting snowed on. Poor plants...

Ach, if only! That's the cruel thing about the 'french balcony' as it's called - it's a door, and a rail, but it's not a balcony. Just like a window ledge or something, not wide enough to stand on. Possibly the world's dumbest architectural invention and a means to up the rent slightly from the 'no balcony' class. It mocks me! If I wanna catch a bit of sun, I have to go down the stairs, out around the house and sit on the very open, very common lawn :(

Floors are a kind of plastic mat so they're fine, and heating is catching up now. We'll see about my green babies over the next few days...

lmao, fake-out!! What a tease, that sucks. I guess I interpreted 'French balconey' to mean something like 'Fancy as all get out balconey with a fountain and ripped dudes serving cocktails/making out with each other on command'. Oh well! Maybe for your next apartment??

*puts own plants in the sun*

lmao, girl, you seriously think if I had ripped dudes serving cocktails and making out with each other around a fountain, you wouldn't have heard about it...? That I wouldn't have absolutely flaunted it?? Teased you? *tsk, tsk*

Yeah I keep looking but there's never any of that stuff in the leases.

A lot of the newer constructions around here also have those "french balconies" or whatever-the-bleep the spin doctors call them. I agree, they're dumb. Either have a balcony or don't. What's the point of the fake-out?

Hope you manage to get warm and stay warm.
