Her fixation on that number reminds me of Alias and the number 47, and I wish for a second that Jess could be a bit more Sydney Bristow. Spinoff? Why, why, why was this not the plot of a Jessica series?
Anyway, Dennis hesitates before telling us he goes to rival school El Caro. I wasn't aware El Caro existed before Senior Year. I'm frankly astonished. There's continuity in Sweet Vally? The hell you say.
I’m ashamed that Lila wrote this (and hope that she actually got one of her hired hands to do it) and apparently so is Roger, because he’s glad Olivia saved Lila the humiliation. Whoa. That is bad. Can we declare the poem anathema? I totally expect Lila to be a bitch to Roger, but this is too much for my delicate sensibilities.
“moving like a cheetah”, she hides behind a water fountain to spy some more.
HA! Was I the only one imagining Liz having "catlike reflexes," like Tobias Funke on Arrested Development?
Roger and Olivia start having fights and go through kind of an anticlimatic breakup. It's only interesting because Lila makes Liz think Olivia is trying to steal Jeffrey, so that Lila can swoop in and steal Jeffrey herself. The whole thing goes down in book 48.
man how can Lila and Jessica check his butt out in sweatpants? Unless he's wearing sweatpants made like those miniature shorts NBA players used to wear.
Question: Can Roger melt Lila’s icy heart? That reminds me of Monday's episode of South Park: We'll cool his hardened heart with a fresh island song! ;-)

It still made me wince.
Thanks for the recap! And I too want to give Roger Hot Boy points.
