Such a hilarious recap!
Also, is Olivia wearing a shirt when her outfit is described? Hmmmm.

You beat me to it! I totally have this mental picture of Ariola "My breasts, they are perky, yes?" the exchange student in Not Another Teen Movie. Maybe that was what Roger was getting at when he said she should dress more normally...

Arghh, I loved this recap even though I never read the book (or wanted to, for that matter)! You are so made of awesome!

This: Note: Racing Hearts is a clever, clever book title because, see, Roger not only gets the heart pitter-patters for Lila, he also runs! Like, on a track! Get the double entendre? I know, neither did I. The ghostwriter is too quick for me.

and this:it’s time to start thinking of her future (which, I think, is obviously a simple choice between in-patient or out-patient, but since it’s only book nine she doesn’t know yet about all the evil twins, dead boyfriends and wife-beating husbands that await her, so we’ll let her dream)

and this: Jess tells Pepaw Wakefield she wants to work with him at the law firm, doing whatever it is he does there, which I suspect is work on his Rubik’s Cube and spin around on his big-boy chair. (which made me strangely imagine Billy out of Ally McBeal because he was like a little boy playing lawyers too - heart Ally McBeal ( ... )

Ohh, I wish! I only found a few SVH/SVU books at my local used bookstore... and I liked the SVU book, which doesn't lead to very good snark.

I haven't thought of Ally McBeal in ages, but you're so right! Ned is totally Billy.

This was always my favorite SVH cover. Did anyone else notice how much Roger looks like 'Different Class'-era Jarvis Cocker?

This was an awesome recap!! This was the first SVH book I ever read when I was little (plus it has lots of Lila!), so it will always hold a special place in my heart. :)

If you want to talk about Double entendres, the book was originally supposed to be called Love on the Run.

Haha, I love that you know that!
We should have a pop-up SVH with little-known facts, like pop-up video back in the day :-D

:O I'm impressed that you know that...how did you know that? Is there some "Little Known Facts of SVH" website I don't know about?
