OMG. Best SVT ever! I'm so pleased you recapped this! I seem to remember the cover had "slime" in and oozing green font as well.

I love the revenge on Lila - I genuinely chuckled when I read your recap of it. I remember when I was a kid I wondered why Jessica didn't just go ahead and kiss Randy but thinking about it now, it seems kind of inappropriate for Mr. Bowman to encourage his sixth graders to make out on camera, especially if one of them is uncomfortable with it. I remember also wanting to be Deirdre, with her stirrup pants. I was all, "I have red hair! I want to be an actress!" My ambitions were humble.

Great recap!

Also: I seem to recall that Randy gets with Cammi later on in the SVT series, leaving Leslie all alone with her Count Chocula cereal and her self-loathing. Pretty harsh, Sweet Valley ghost-writers. Pretty harsh.

Great recap! I was always intrigued by this title, but for some reason didn't ever read it.

Jessica is sick of school and needs a break. So does the rest of the English class.
Whoa, does that include super-student Elizabeth? It boggles the mind!

Heh, goth Leslie. I actually think the extreme delusions of everyone hating her makes her sound more Emo than goth.

Aaron Dallas even says “Wow, a sound camera!”.
:|...........These books BEGAN to be published in 1987!!! That's so stupid! No kid would say that!

Lol @ all Pete's winking and reaching into his pocket. It sounded so suss.

But Janet says the title needs to be changed because it doesn’t reflect well on a group of friends that call themselves the Unicorns.
Oh my god, I am so sick of Janet's constant "It's not good for the Unicorns' images. Down with Queen Janet!

When did that happen? Shouldn't there have been a book where everyone finds out and the Unicorns become friends with her to be part of the story?=P are u joking? I'm pretty sure u are, but if not, check out #48 - Mandy ( ... )

Actually, I'm not. I've recapped five of the six books surrounding that one, and there was NOT ONE mention of Mandy having cancer. Or even being tired! I think I've never read Mandy Miller Fights Back, but you'd think that something as serious as cancer would at least be MENTIONED.

Actually, wait. Is there a part where her mum can't afford to buy her a proper wig, so she has to have a little orphan annie style thing? I assume the unicorns help out in some way.

Yep, all in Mandy Miller Fights Back. Jessica realises what a total biatch she has been and rallies the Uni's into helping. Goo Uni's!!

So either way, Jessica would be kissing a fellow cheerleader.
HAHAHAHAHAHA!

Leslie decides she’ll audition for the next film.
I thought this was an unusual, one-off project...?

I love how the script includes so much making out. In sixth grade.
