Great recap! I was always intrigued by this title, but for some reason didn't ever read it.

Jessica is sick of school and needs a break. So does the rest of the English class.
Whoa, does that include super-student Elizabeth? It boggles the mind!

Heh, goth Leslie. I actually think the extreme delusions of everyone hating her makes her sound more Emo than goth.

Aaron Dallas even says “Wow, a sound camera!”.
:|...........These books BEGAN to be published in 1987!!! That's so stupid! No kid would say that!

Lol @ all Pete's winking and reaching into his pocket. It sounded so suss.

But Janet says the title needs to be changed because it doesn’t reflect well on a group of friends that call themselves the Unicorns.
Oh my god, I am so sick of Janet's constant "It's not good for the Unicorns' images. Down with Queen Janet!

When did that happen? Shouldn't there have been a book where everyone finds out and the Unicorns become friends with her to be part of the story?
=P are u joking? I'm pretty sure u are, but if not, check out #48 - Mandy Miller Fights Back.

I agree about tagging Elizabeth the outcast whisperer. You rock!

Actually, I'm not. I've recapped five of the six books surrounding that one, and there was NOT ONE mention of Mandy having cancer. Or even being tired! I think I've never read Mandy Miller Fights Back, but you'd think that something as serious as cancer would at least be MENTIONED.

Actually, wait. Is there a part where her mum can't afford to buy her a proper wig, so she has to have a little orphan annie style thing? I assume the unicorns help out in some way.
