  Last time Evan was a crybaby because he got waitlisted at Berkeley, Melissa and Will got back together, and Jessica became the responsible twin while Elizabeth was a flake.  And I’m disappointed because there’s almost no Melissa Fox in this entire book and too much Trent.  He becomes a massive tool.

First of all, if Jade's dad never supported her in any way, then she doesn't need to list his stuff for financial aid, so she'd be all set there.

Liz sucks. She couldn't write her article on paper? If I was Liz I would have gone to Oxford. Duh.....

The financial aid issue is actually realistic. Even if your parent doesn't support you and never has, their salary is still added into the calculations when figuring out your financial aid. The only way to get their salary excluded is for them to sign a form swearing that they will never help support you while you are in college.

Although, I'm sure the ghost writer was on correct by sheer happenstance. Fact check free since 1983!

Does Scope realise how expensive Oxford is? How can they just give that away to the writer of a crappy article?! SVSY: completely unrealistic about colleges.

Great recaps of very snarkable books, though. I never read any of Senior Year and yet I feel drawn to the random new characters and soap opera plots. Loving it.

am i remembering wrong, or is Jades mothers' book really about a set of identical twins.

as in, she is writing the series of the book she is curently a minor, useless character in. and she wrote her daughter as a huge ugly biatch. snerk.

Yep! I don't think that comes out until the senior year finale or something, but that's definitely it.

And I never thought of it in those terms...she IS a useless character...and so is Jade. Jade's annoying now, but early in this series she was obnoxious. I think that she was fired from House of Java for being irresponsible and bitchy.

What ABSOLUTELY killed me about Jade's behaviour at HOJ was the fact that her dad won't pay child support unless she has a job, so it's super-important that she stay employed. Yet she throws it away by skiving off work to go on a date and then GOING TO HOJ AND FLAUNTING IT! After ALREADY GETTING FIRED FROM ANOTHER JOB! Hello, brain?
