Well, it's Monday again and back to work for those of us not in America. Happy Independence Day for all our American members! I hope you're having a lovely break if you get time off work, and good weather too
( Read more... )
Happy Monday! It should be a nice day, *only* supposed to hit 100F (as opposed to 111F by Thursday), so that's something.
Do you not have central heating because it's not that cold (relative to other areas)? I know central air isn't common in a lot of places on the east coast, but it seems odd to me. I'm spoiled - I have both. LOL But rain! I'd love some of that, especially since we're entering monsoon season here.
That flash challenge gave me a rather um, naughty idea. Let's see if I can get it on paper with both the kids home today. LOL
I'm about 1k off where I should be, but I'm determined to do better than last month.
Ah, renovations always seem like they're not worth it. But in the end, it's like having a whole new home. My plans for the week are to get some words, not murder anyone I work with, and just survive. And now, I'm getting back to exercising after a month off. *sigh*
I love the heat, but we have enough to spot you a few degrees in either C or F. :D
I get that! We don't get a lot of rain during the winter, but when we do, you feel it. Mainly because we have so little damp to begin with.
Hahaha! I just posted it on my journal, although it's not half as naughty as it could have been. But still fun, I hope.
Thank you! Managed 500 words today, so that'll help.
I can relate because I have the same inclination. I learned to keep my what ifs to myself though. LOL It's good that you both realize he does this and that he's willing to take steps to help keep it in control. The gym will help, but the pool might be the best thing for him. I know that with me, water soothes - whether it's the shower, a bath, or a pool. But that could just be me, too. So, crossing my fingers you guys can work through it and get the reno finished. YES! Talking is the key, really!
Oh God, damp is the worst. I seriously want to retire somewhere with less humidity than Auckland so we don't have to deal with so much rain!
YES! A bit naughty is good, as is getting it posted! YAY!
yes, 500 words is brilliant! Keep up the good work!
Thanks for the encouragement. It's an uphill battle some days, but we are getting there. Swimming will definitely be on the horizon, because I need the exercise too, and gyms are not my place! he'll benefit from the rowing machine and the bikes probably, but I'll leave that to him to organise!
I hope that things take a turn for the better in your week!
I'm going to try to relax around the house for my last full day of vaca Tuesday, and then it's back to work. It's been a really great break. I have really unplugged from the job for the first time in years. And now i'll just have a three day week, so.... that's a good way to ease back in.
My goal is to finish a fic and actually publish it, to aim for a bingo on the DW kink challenge card I took, and to knit some more on my temperature blanket. I had been keeping up with it, but now am a month behind. Shouldn't be tooo hard to catch up, though.
Thanks, I think things are looking a bit sweeter now. Took a bit of talking, but we're getting there!
Oh yay for the break! So glad you managed to unplug! I hope it's not too crazy for those three days and that they pass quickly so your next weekend is all the nicer!
Your goals sound doable, and I have faith that you will make progress on all fronts! ;-)
still anticipating some kitchen repair/renovation here...so the other rooms are a mess while kitchen stuff is in boxes around the house. more to move out, but as its in use (mostly) I'm waiting on a start date...
having trouble pushing through the edits lately...fighting with motivation issues...but I'll get there.
the whole world feels like a struggle in a number of ways...but at least I had Monday off <3
I hope the repairs/renovations get started soon and you're not living out of boxes for too long!
Good luck with the motivation - I have those kinds of issues constantly, so I know how it is. I have faith you'll get on to it, though!
That is very true. Thank goodness for small mercies, eh? I must admit, I have to hold onto all the small but good things as there's far too many big and ugly ones to deal with if you think too hard on it! *hugs*
