Happy Monday! It should be a nice day, *only* supposed to hit 100F (as opposed to 111F by Thursday), so that's something.

Do you not have central heating because it's not that cold (relative to other areas)? I know central air isn't common in a lot of places on the east coast, but it seems odd to me. I'm spoiled - I have both. LOL But rain! I'd love some of that, especially since we're entering monsoon season here.

That flash challenge gave me a rather um, naughty idea. Let's see if I can get it on paper with both the kids home today. LOL

I'm about 1k off where I should be, but I'm determined to do better than last month.

Ah, renovations always seem like they're not worth it. But in the end, it's like having a whole new home. My plans for the week are to get some words, not murder anyone I work with, and just survive. And now, I'm getting back to exercising after a month off. *sigh*

Oh boy, I'd give for some of that heat right now - swap you for the rain ( ... )

I love the heat, but we have enough to spot you a few degrees in either C or F. :D

I get that! We don't get a lot of rain during the winter, but when we do, you feel it. Mainly because we have so little damp to begin with.

Hahaha! I just posted it on my journal, although it's not half as naughty as it could have been. But still fun, I hope.

Thank you! Managed 500 words today, so that'll help.

I can relate because I have the same inclination. I learned to keep my what ifs to myself though. LOL It's good that you both realize he does this and that he's willing to take steps to help keep it in control. The gym will help, but the pool might be the best thing for him. I know that with me, water soothes - whether it's the shower, a bath, or a pool. But that could just be me, too. So, crossing my fingers you guys can work through it and get the reno finished. YES! Talking is the key, really!

Oh good, thanks! I could use it! ;-P

Oh God, damp is the worst. I seriously want to retire somewhere with less humidity than Auckland so we don't have to deal with so much rain!

YES! A bit naughty is good, as is getting it posted! YAY!

yes, 500 words is brilliant! Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the encouragement. It's an uphill battle some days, but we are getting there. Swimming will definitely be on the horizon, because I need the exercise too, and gyms are not my place! he'll benefit from the rowing machine and the bikes probably, but I'll leave that to him to organise!

No problem as it'll be 107 tomorrow. Hahaha.

It really is. You feel like you'll never get warm, too. Are there parts of NZ that are less humid?

Hah, true!

Thank you! I'm definitely trying. Had a miserable showing last month.

I totally understand that. Hah, I hate gyms, too, which is the biggest reason I got my bike for the house. Hope it all comes together for you both. It can be hard to get a handle on your anxiety because, when you've lived with it for so long, you often don't even know it's affecting you until your loved ones are threatening to smack you upside the head. Ask me how I know. LOL

LOL! It's not as cold here today, but the damp is still with us!

Yeah, thankfully there are lots of places that are much drier. Where N1D is in Christchurch the difference is astounding! They get it much colder there than we do, but they also can get hotter temps in summer, and the humidity is WAY lower, so that if you step into the shade in summer, you instantly feel cooler, unlike here where that never happens! I mean, I totally get that our summers are milder temp-wise too, but add in the humidity and it's just limp noodle time! And in winter, damp noodle time! LOL

Thanks again; we will get there!

That's good! Hopefully your milder temps continue. The damp I can't help ya with.

Oh, that's good news. Yeah, it's a switch off I guess, drier climate, but colder? I can't really say, our winters aren't really cold compared to most (we have like 2 days near or at freezing). I am laughing at feeling cooler in the shade because I can't relate. 🤣

I know you will! And good luck with the rest of the reno, too!
