I wore my Pedroia shirt today and he hit a home run. I guess I should wear it every day from now on.

So I'm two for three on my jersey/shirt-wearing lately. A few weeks ago, I wore my Tek jersey, and that night he called Jon Lester's no-hitter. And today I wore my Pedroia shirt, and he homered in Cincinnati (oh, Josh, nice shutout - you looked like a staff ace today!). Of course, yesterday I wore my Papelbon jersey, and we all know what happened ( Read more... )

My John Maine tee is bringing me no luck. Maybe I should switch back to the oversized jersey...

I'm really pissed with the pen and also some players who couldn't come through in game 1 came through in game 2. Johnny should have more wins if it wasn't for pen or offense going wrong in his starts :(.

Angels ♥! I enjoy watching them play.

My oversized Tek jersey doesn't do too badly, so that's probably not a bad idea, actually.

I keep telling my parents that they should try to DFA the pen, or at least a lot of it...it just keeps falling apart. (And really, they had so many opportunities in that first game to score, too...) At least Wagner didn't implode horribly today...I got scared when he came in.

I do, too, actually - except when ESPN decides that Chipper Jones' swing is more important and obsesses over it. I wish they'd just shut up and let people watch sometimes...

I'm so jealous--I didn't get to watch any of any baseball games today. I listened to about half an hour of the Sox game on the radio, but that was it. Unfortunately, that projects to be the next week... at least until Friday (studying, finals, and then I'm seeing Bill James give a lecture! -dies of excitement-).

Dude, Bill James? Are you serious? That's so amazing! (...Corbin says he's jealous. Even though he's, uhm, not real.)

Good luck with finals, too! It'll be so nice to be done soon...

YES. Bill James. And Rob Neyer. At the Museum of Science. See? And it overlaps with this exhibit, too! (Unfortunately, I'm missing this...)

That is just fantastic. And the Baseball as America exhibit! I remember when it was at the Museum of Natural History in New York. It's a nice preview of the wonders of Cooperstown, from what I've read...(Awww, Bill Lee! He's amazing...)

WTF CANCEL. I mean seriously. 0-2 pitch to a guy who hasn't had a hit in nine years? Should have been nowhere near the plate. Kason Gabbard FAIL.

But he got a hit off Pedro Martinez, so my day was already made. XD.

Angels and Braves? I don't know about you but what I got was The Chipper Jones Show. How many times did they analyze his swing? And then show a clip of him talking about his swing? NOBODY CARES. And the fact that Joe Morgan spoke at a graduation makes me mourn for... whatever children were unfortunate enough to hear him. I really hope they zoned out during his speech.

I got tired of The Chipper Jones Show so I flipped over to ABC to check on the C's and got The Kobe Bryant Show. I cannot win.

I did not mean for this comment to be so long, ahahahah.

No worries about the length or anything - and I have the Celts on too right now, actually. (I'd like to see them get a lead for more than a few seconds, though...awww...)

...the Joe Morgan-graduation thing kind of made me want to shoot something. And honestly, do they seriously think Chipper's going to sustain that average for the entire season? I certainly don't. (He's not Ted, anyhow. I think I want him to lose it just because I kind of like Ted better. Especially after ESPN obsessing over him.)

There you go! It definitely works! (You should wear it every time he starts now!)

I think I should.
Or at least every time he has to bat :D

That actually reminds me...I was at the game in Philly when he homered a couple of years ago. It was just so funny...and kind of awesome.

If it's worked all those times, it must be real, then! (I can understand why you'd be embarrassed to wear it, too...if Jed Lowrie ever gets a similar amount of fangirls, which I sort of doubt, then I might have second thoughts about wearing my customized shirt I made a long time ago...)

Oh, that's true! He didn't lose the game, so I guess it's all good!
