When we arrive in Oregon with our cars full of clothes and books and nothing else, we'll find ourselves in our new house without furniture. Sooo...

Things I can't wait to see when we move:

Woot! Hey you!

Seth and I are moving from Houghton, UP, Michigan, to Eugene, Oregon in a couple of weeks! I'm surrounded by garbage bags and boxes, and still think I'm drowning in stuff... But I'm getting pumped up for this move by some of the things we can see when we get there!

It'll be hard but... I'm ready for the change!

Oh, wow!

What brought on that decision?

I just looked the two places up on google maps. That´s far!

Oregon is supposaed to be very beautiful, or am I mixing something up?

Do you have jobs lined up already or are you moving into an adventure, like me? :)

Haha! Well, we've done the adventure thing before... A bit to the extreme! We packed EVERYTHING up right after we got married and moved to Hawaii. We did it the wrong way and took out loans and ran up credit cards to make the move, including shipping our car. We probably mailed 50 boxes easily (and that was while just starting university!) No jobs, no income, just freeloading off my brother and our meager savings ( ... )

Errr, where are you located? IKEA is an awesome store! Home furnishings and stuff at great prices... The greatest shopping experience ever (tons of little apartments set up in a "show room," a nice cafeteria with like 99ct breakfast and $4 dinner... Google it! I find it to be beautiful!

Ohhh, no. I don't have an IKEA up here either... I usually drive 7 hours to Minneapolis (across the street from the Mall of America) to go to IKEA. The one in Michigan is 13 hours away, and a lot smaller. IKEA's are in "special" places. Like, big cities only :(. I'm pumped to be able to get furniture in town, and not have to haul it 3 states over to get back to my house!

Ahh, we're trying to do the... "Pack clothes ONLY and sell everything else" plan. We're mailing our books, taking our clothes, TV, PC and laptops, three mini tables that can flatpack, and two skinny chairs that can also flatpack. And also a bookcase that flatpacks. We have a truck and a car. We HOPE it'll fit nicely!

It does work!

Taking chairs is a very good idea. We didn´t have anything to sit on in England for the first few days. Horrible!

A dining table and chairs were the first things we bought, long before a proper bed. Air mattresses work just fine for a while.
