Haha! Well, we've done the adventure thing before... A bit to the extreme! We packed EVERYTHING up right after we got married and moved to Hawaii. We did it the wrong way and took out loans and ran up credit cards to make the move, including shipping our car. We probably mailed 50 boxes easily (and that was while just starting university!) No jobs, no income, just freeloading off my brother and our meager savings.
This time, we've got someone on the other end who isn't going through anything crazy (wont even be in his house). So we have an address, a place to live while we seek out our own place (maybe IN Eugene, or up into Portland, hopefully). I have a job in Social Media, for a company in Dallas. I telecommute, so as long as I have the internet, I can work! *Because of this, the only thing that will change for us financially is the move. We'll be moving, but my income (the only income) will remain. The only difference will be our location!* Seth is trying to get a job in commercial construction, as he's just graduated with in his B.S. in Construction Management.
Oregon IS beautiful. Michigan is supposed to be as well, but... it's grey. We've got trees, but if it's not covered in snow, it's ugly, grey, dead. Oregon is where they shot Twilight, with all the green and wetness year round.
The distance is pretty great. A few days drive... We're thinking of getting 2-way radios or walkie talkies to be able to talk to eachother between cars :p.
