Pietro wasn't really good at waiting. He'd got most of what they needed for explosives, but buying too much all together was stupid, they didn't need to be noticed. And finding more allies was always important.

Allies. You're talking like it's a war.

But hadn't he said that's what it was, to Mohinder?

The apartment they were in front of was apparently the home of another 'special' person, although Pietro wasn't sure what she could do. Speed and causing earthquakes was one thing; something froofy like changing the colour of anything you touched was a bit less useful and a bit more weird.

Still.

He knocked on the door, glancing sidelong at Wanda.

There seemed to be a surprising amount of special people in New York City after all. Perhaps she had simply underestimated the sheer number of them worldwide. Whatever it was, it was good luck for them.

The people they had found were like them in more than just their advanced abilities. They had been hurt and scarred by the shady company as well, and hated it nearly as much. They were more than willing to help take it down. That gave hope that they really could take them down.

She frowned apprehensively at the doorway when they arrived, wondering what this one's ability would be, and what it would take to gain their aid, before nodding at Pietro. "I will."

"Now... let's... try... again," Sophie sounded out eventually, followed by a few mild curses as the faint sound of a knock reached her ears. No one she knew would expect her to be home at this time of day. So her approach to the front door was a little on the slow and cautious side, followed by a skeptical look through the peephole and the fractional opening of the door that the drawn chain permitted.

"Hi," she said calmly. "Do I know you?"

She smiled brightly, despite the less-than-warm greeting. "Hi...no, I don't think you do."

She offered her hand. "I'm Wanda Maximoff, and this is Pietro. What's your name?"

"Sophie Gifford." Her voice was stiff, and she didn't take the offered hand. Not before she knew something. So she stood there looking faintly challenging- say what you're here for, okay?
