By the time he arrived at the greasy little diner, Mohinder was driven utterly to distraction.

He'd taken the infernal metro system here in a fit of insanity, missing his stop twice. He was 15 minutes late already, praying that Eden hadn't left. He needed to tell her about this.

The Maximoff twins had finally let him leave after an exchange of phone numbers and his promise to get back to them soon. Mohinder's head was still spinning from the revelation and he gave both freely, but now...

Now he just need someone else to help him make sense of it.

Eden couldn't see her own face, otherwise she might have been a little embarrassed about the way it lit up when Mohinder rushed in the door. "Well, there's not going to be any more teasing about me being fashionably late, right?"

Then she caught his expression. "Mohinder? Is everything all right?"

Leaning over and kissing her cheek in greeting, Mohinder sat down at the table, running a hand through his curls.

"I feel like I'm going crazy," he admitted shakily. "A man and a woman approached me after the seminar and...my god, Eden, I can hardly believe it."

...well. That beginning sounded... not necessarily bad, not necessarily good, but whatever it was it was going to be interesting. Eden was sure of it. "And?" she prompted. "Offered you candy? Invited you for a threesome? What'd they do?"

Mohinder laughed, a little hysterically, before scrubbing a hand over his eyes and meeting hers. "I almost wish that were the case. They said...they had..." he broke off, not knowing how to say it without sounding completely crazy.

"You remember what I told you about my father's theories? The flying, the spontaeneous cell regenertaion, all of it? Eden...Eden he was right."
