2022 was when I (basically) turned 34 years old.

Overhead a conversation in bits today at Pine Tree. A girl stays after class talking to a guy about anything and everything. He suggests going to watch a show. The show invitation never actually arrives. At that point, being able to talk about anything and everything matters. The things we talk about are so boring and mundane. I get a bit of it. But people, when a topic is dragged, seriously? Taxes, blood pressure, retirement, arguing excessively longer than what's "normal." What happened to your creativity and humor and interesting tendencies? Does everyone just die inside over time? Every now and again I'll get a glimmer of perceived enlightenment and realize that we so easily get distracted by wealth, ambition, beauty, fame, etc. when in the grand scheme of things it truly doesn't matter. People think they're somebody; that they're important. In the end it's ashes to ashes. What will you leave behind? Why do houses and things and looks matter when we're all children of the earth, and decomposing as we speak. Time to linger in the quiet.

What did you do when you were younger? On week nights?
Since I can remember, I was in the girl scouts and we met at least once a week, then had monthly camp trips or outings.
I remember Viendi was in karate.
We weren't in sports or music or Vietnamese classes and were just in after school daycare.
This occurred until 8th grade.
