She still probably thinks she is better off in the long term, but right now things aren't so good for her.
I'm not sure he knew either, so he solved the dilemma by saying something to make her annoyed. If you can't make up your own mind, let someone else do it for you.
OH! I'm so glad that you posted. This was a much needed break and has totally made my day.
The primal nature of your vampires is so chilling. It has to be difficult for Katia to reconcile everything that she knows about her sister with that attack. Or even to reconcile everything that she knows about human beings with that sort of instinctual behavior.
And I think I adore Daniel a little bit, just for wondering whether or not he should try to comfort Katia. It's the friendship so secret that even they don't know about it.
Thank you. Everyone is always so patient with me when I run a bit behind. I had it mostly ready for a bit, just last week was a bit insane.
This was probably one of the harder things she has had to deal with yet, and she still has to process it all. I think she understands more now, but that is what will make it harder for her to forgive.
I think one of them is probably a little more aware of it than the other.
I'm really curious about the end here, the taste of blood that would not go away. Is that part of Katia's power? Is that from her connection to Sophie?
I adore how Daniel and Katia play off each other. I honestly think that deep down she does not want Daniel to leave.
Yep, part of her power, she was picking up on Sophie's bloodlust. So basically she's just seen what is going on in her sisters head, and it's more vampire than human.
They could probably use the break, she might judge him less harshly given some time to herself.
Katia really needs to listen to Daniel here, even if he's being a bit of an ass. Sophie is forever changed, she's not the same girl Katia grew up with. A hard fact to swallow, but true, nonetheless.
I'm curious about the cutting thing, but I've learned to be patient and wait.
I was a little daunted by this one (not sure why now) but I powered through to make sure it was done before Wednesday morning :)
Katia always has to do things the hard way. I think that little experience inside Sophie's head sold her on that. Even though she really only picks up strong emotions, she got enough to know what Sophie, isn't her little sister any more.
It refers back to Josephine's reaction to her blood. We will get into it more soon though.
Excellent update, again, so well written and perfectly set and shot!
I just love Daniel, he can be so crude, you would have thought Katia would be use to it by now. Katia's response to feeling Sophie's pain and then blood lust was so perfect as was Daniel's hesitation. I couldn't help hearing UST is my mind after he pricked her finger though :)
He knows how much she dislikes his comments, its what keeps him doing it. Cheers, it was a bit tricky to manage, giving it enough life, but not so much that it got a bit boring seeing too many similar pictures, or a big wall of text.
