So, LJ has changed the format of news to make it a boosterish and gossipy newsletter telling you about original user content. I disapprove of this change, but that's page three of the problems I am having.

Page one is that they are including unattributed Writers' Block responses in the newsletter, ( plagiarized )

Yeah, we have a little under 40k active in some way accounts. (Does this include feed accounts, does anyone know?) LJ has just under 2.4 million active in some way accounts. LJ, all UR bases still belong to U.

It is completely not obvious at all from my previous post on this subject, but a large part of my annoyance comes not at the linking of what some people call one-shots, but rather when authors provide links between parts of multi-chapter stories on lj. This is the instance when I find not being linked by ?mode=reply the most obnoxious and annoying ( Read more... )

Why do people so rarely post links to stories on lj with ?mode=reply appended? For one, this makes giving feedback easier (you get to the end of the story, and a feedback form is right there! empty and waiting for you to fill it!)
