FYI, my internet has been a SNAIL since last night, and continuing this morning. Comcast can't figure it out yet, but they think it'll clear itself up. In any case, LJ is not loading at all, so I'm going to be way behind on the flist for a while.

So I'm on the phone with my dad, and he's telling me all about the new computer he's getting to replace his trusty-but-obsolete Windows 98 machine*, and he mentions that the new one is running Vista** - and I miss the rest of the description because all I can think about is Mac/Vista Guardian pr0n*facepalm ( Read more... )

So the conclusion of the Dell person with whom I spent an hour on the phone today was that my battery is perfectly fine, just old and senile.  As long as there's no performance issues, I shouldn't worry about it, though I should replace it.  When I have a spare $120, I'll be happy to do that.  He did say I could give the recall number a try, but ( Read more... )
