Annihilators: Earthfall #3 of 4 - Dan Abnett/Andy Lanning + Tan Eng Huat. The Annihilators and the Avengers try to work together but the Magus and his Universal Church of Truth keep upping the ante. Great character moments, great action, and great art. Unwaveringly as good as all the rest of the Abnett & Lanning cosmic books.

So the big news in comics last week was that DC is rebooting their line of superhero books. Come August, a lot of things are ending, and come September, there will be 52 #1 comics hitting stores as DC starts fresh. Some stuff will carry over, but it's not clear how much. Captain America & The Korvac Saga #1 of 4 - Ben McCool + Craig Rousseau. Another all-ages retelling of a classic story, this time it's the Korvac Saga, one of my favorite Avengers tales of all time. Astonishing Thor #1 of 4(?) - Robert Rodi + Mike Choi. Looks promising. The story has a couple layers to it and the art is simply gorgeous. Plus, it features the fan-favorite Ego, The Living Planet. What do you mean he's not a fan-favorite? I like him and I'm a fan, eh?

Carnage #1 of 5 - Zeb Wells + Clayton Crain. The 90s return as Spider-Man and Iron Man become involved in a "Maximum Carnage" revival. Crain's art is still annoyingly dark, even in scenes of full daylight.
