I had a wonderful and exhausting weekend! The potluck was indeed huge. By my count over 150 people came, bringing a variety of delicious dishes. We didn't get as many guests from town as I had hoped, especially since we tried to do a lot of advertising there, but other than that everything was perfect. When I was thirteen, I came out to my mom as bisexual. She didn't get upset, but she told me I was too young to know. Yesterday I introduced myself to two EcoClub members, Luis and Milagros. After we said hello, they whispered something among the two of them and giggled. When I asked what was so funny, they said that my glasses made me look like Harry Potter. "Nos encanta Harry Potter," Milagros added. I said we volunteers couldn't wait to read the new book. Wow, this was a great day. I got to talk to lots of Panamanians. They were showing up all day. First there were two from communities that have had volunteers before, Miguel and Katja. We got to Panama City last night, late. Drove to Santiago today. We're staying in a convent with a lovely courtyard garden. There was just a light rain shower.
