I took Mandarin Chinese in college and in the second semester, my professor gave us each a Chinese surname (mine was 范 Fàn). I recently started an introductory Chinese course, but it is a non-credit course and the material taught is very basic. The teacher recommended Practical Audio-Visual Chinese 1 for extra study, but I can't seem to find it in stock anywhere. Can anyone who is familiar with this book recommend a comparable text for me? Thank you!

Using the tags, I've managed to find earlier posts that linked to online tools for translations, dictionaries and websites mentioning some grammar points but I was just wondering if anyone knew of any good textbooks that solely focus on all aspects of grammar in the Chinese language.

Any help is appreciated.
