I didn't have much to say about this year in my end-of-year letter to family and non-fannish friends, which completely misrepresented it. It's nice to have people who know what "discovered a major new-to-me fandom" means!

I keep trying, but I'm not doing a very good job of reading Yuletide. I've commented on exactly six stories so far, compared to last year's hundred or so by this time, and only one has been slash. I seem to be drifting away from LJ and I'm not sure whether or not that's a good thing. The other day I spent my free computer time happily writing an accounting procedures manual for a non-profit organisation, which is odd behaviour. For the Life Appreciation Challenge, Day 41. Finishing this year's weed spraying. It's a race against time, me against them. In each year so far, some of them have overtaken me at the end and gone to seed, but I know their tactics now and I'm in with a chance.
