Some of us were talking on the weekend about how many fandoms we were conversant in. sarren said it would be too many to count, but my number is a lot smaller than hers and counting is what accountants do, so I counted.

Today at 2:30pm my new fannishness for Boston Legal reached the point where I was pretty sure that if I were to die today, my main regret in my final moments would be not having seen more episodes.

( This might be too morbid for some people's taste, though I don't see it that way )

So many people told me Oslo wasn't very interesting that I had a suspicion I'd really enjoy it (if only to be contrary, and also because I was determined to like a place that has such a neat name). My Sharpe consumption is continuing unabated. I jumped out of order last night because I discovered all of Sharpe's Challenge, the final episode so far, online on YouTube and couldn't resist. I was back at the contract accounting job yesterday after the Christmas break and found it a bit hard to describe how I'd spent my time off. Christmas with family, went to beach, spent time with the alpacas all sound fine, but what I mostly did was read several hundred anonymously posted short stories on the internet. Just home from Christmas at my mother's, 35C (95F) in the house at 9:30pm, a forecast of 41C (106F) for tomorrow, which is like a prescription for staying inside, and Yuletide and DS Seekrit Santa spread out like a banquet before me. This is the life!
