I'm alive. Yes, at certain points during the swim I really thought about a. giving up b. giving up and c. that I might drown. A bit dramatic but it really was tough. Let me start by saying that 6 weeks with one week minus cos I had the flu, of training for the Sprint wasn't the brightest plan.

Finally getting back into gear... did my 3km run last night and I have to admit I felt better. Ann mentioned wouldn't it be great if we were exercise junkies? I think I'm becoming one, I know it doesn't show ahahaha but if I don't exercise for 3 days I feel horrid; my tummy bloats, I get annoyed faster, I can't sleep as well and well... Today is one of them' dayz when you don't wanna do anything. I wanna just sit and wait till 6pm, go home, watch telly and sleep by 11pm. I'm trying, I really am.... but people keep making me do work, darn it. Plus I promised da husband I'd go for a run with him...someone stop me! please?

I was really proud of myself this week, sure I slacked of earlier in the week but I went for Pump on Thursday, ran 3km on Friday and swam 750m on Sat. By far the swimming part was the hardest and I should have started a month ago but... yeah, I'm gonna work harder. I am not a runner. There, I said it. I was a sprinter in school and not a very good one just better than most of the slow pokes. I'm game for long hikes and I can walk for miles but ask me to run more than a km without stopping... it's not gonna happen. Friday evening was positively delightful, we had wine and pizza at Wine Company. Walked over to Ben & Jerry's for ice cream and apple pie. Roamed around Dempsey for a bit and looked in awe at the changes, so many new restaurants and so little parking, I wonder how that's gonna work out.
