I'm out to pretty much everyone in my life, except for my grandmother and some other older relatives. That's frankly too much of a hassle to even contemplate.

Arguing about racism in meatspace has roughly ten times the potential to make me want to claw my face off with my bare hands than arguing about it online has.

Because when a person sits right next to you (or opposite to you) and tells you things like:

• "So you're saying that because I'm white I'm a racist?"

Seeing someone call someone else or a group of people a "special snowflake" makes me sad and a little angry.
To me, it implies an attitude of condescension towards - and a dismissal of - that person and their ideas/problems/issues/opinions/experiences; and that doesn't sit right with me.

I see it used pretty much everywhere:

Oh my God, Alice in Wonderland was amazing. In 3D! So beautiful, and a fantastic, flowing narration too. We all said that we'd watch it again immediately. (I really covet Alice's suit of armour.)
