Sherlock fandom is tearing my heart apart, again and again and again.

I was reluctant to get into it, because I've seen some of this in the movie Sherlock fandom as well, but somehow the more blatantly asexual portrayal of Sherlock in the BBC series makes it worse, and I don't know how to deal with that.

I'm out to pretty much everyone in my life, except for my grandmother and some other older relatives. That's frankly too much of a hassle to even contemplate.
