1) As you may have noticed, I'm hosting a reading and discussion of Lightning on the Wave's Sacrifices Arc. The first post is up, and I personally will be around for awhile yet. There's no fixed reading schedule, since some of our potential readers lead very busy lives and I don't do very well with schedules in general. I will probably post at least the next two book discussions in short order, but we'll stay open to newer readers pretty much up until the final discussion post. (If you have any ideas about the procedure, tell me!)
Future related posts can be found under the sacrifices arc tag.

2) Last weekend I was going to go to the local ace meet-up, but that didn't work out (curse you, high blood pressure!). Next time!

3) The amazing
melannen is hosting the Ace Manifestos Project! Where people can sign up to write the equivalent of ship manifestos for asexual characters. We have Sherlock Holmes, and the Doctor, and Neal Caffrey, and Fox Mulder, and some others already claimed. :)
I've put my name down for Hikaru Shindou of Hikaru no Go. ♥♥♥

4) The
ante_up_losers fic exchange is live!

5)

There's new swag too - I'm just saying! And yes, I've donated, but not enough to warrant one of those shiny shiny things. ;)

6) While we're talking about donating, how about some microfinancing?
Surely you've heard of Kiva by now - basically a number of people lend someone who really needs it a small amount of money, and they get their money back after awhile. This type of lending works from the principle of helping someone to help themselves. The name Muhammad Yunus might ring a bell; I've personally enjoyed his economics books enormously and would recommend them to anyone with an interest in social finance.
[This is my lender page by the way. :)]

7) The Book Depository are giving away a bunch of new Doctor Who audiobooks and a Who script signed by Tom Baker. .... I almost didn't want to tell you guys, hahaha.
