State of the Ysabet, pt. 3
Guys? She woke up. Just for a few seconds, while the doc was changing her ventilator out for some other sort of system-- her pneumonia's very bad, and they needed to drain her lungs more-- she grimaced, opened her eyes and looked at the doctor. My little sister Denise was standing next to him and she said something, she doesn't remember what, and my mom's eyes flickered over towards her and then she went back unconscious.
But. She woke up. It's about 3:15 p.m. here in Arizona, and it happened about 40 minutes ago.
They still don't know if she'll make it, but it's been eleven days since they found her unconscious and this is the first real hope we've had. I'm in shock. Still flying out Friday.
