State of the Ysabet, pt. 4

Mar 24, 2010 15:24

Yesterday-- I'm glad my mom woke up.  I'm glad it was brief, since it must have hurt.  Since then she's been weakening and has been put back on the full life-support, which causes some additional problems; the docs have been talking 'trachiotomy' and suggesting that it's time we let her go.

I'll be flying out on Friday; I have my tickets already, now I just have to take care of arranging to have my pets fed and to finish cleaning my place and all the rest.

To everybody who sent their good wishes to me in yesterday's LJ and by email and so forth-- thank you profoundly.  I really wish I knew something better to say, but I don't.  I'm sort of bouncing back and forth between feeling like total hell and feeling normal, if kind of numb. I'm even writing with Em, blessings on her, and working in my garden; distractions are good.  So I'll go home and take care of what I can and I'll report back here as things happen, I guess.

Thanks again.
