I've just spent a great day with my Mum, Brother and his 2 kids, Nicola & Chris and Chris's friend Neel. I don't get to see the kids often, they live with their mother and relations are strained (to put it mildly), so it's great to be able to spend some time with them.

I've had the last 2 weeks off work to get started on the packing. The day started out really well. I to the West End, popped into Forbidden Planet geeked out for a while a bought a couple of mags. Went onto Stanfords the map shop, geeked out again (I love maps), bought a couple of maps of Scotland as I'm off up there in a couple of days. Wendy, one of my neighbors, died about 6 hours ago, she was 47. We/she only found out a few days ago that she was ill, Liver cancer, she was told she had a few weeks. She leaves behind a 19 year old son Alex and a 9 year old daughter Dana. It's just too sad. She was such a lovely woman ( Read more... )

My sister, Penny, came down over the w/e with her daughter, Ella and her (Ella's) partner Jason. Ella's about 5 months pregnant and is the epitomey of 'Glowing'. She's always been very beautiful but she's even more so now, all stunning smiles and smug looks at her ever expanding belly, watched over by an obviously besotted and indulgent Jason.
