This is also a pretty sweet stretchy bind off that I just used to bind off the neck of my FIRST completed knitted sweater. Woot!

And I can use this technique to shorten the too-long arms.

Finished the first version of the back of my jumper. Phewph! I did some shaping I don't think I really needed to do, but we'll see when I finish the front. I was thinking I'd quickly sew that up, to see how it fits in a vest-type thing. Though I will be making the arms too, because I want to learn how to shape them ( Read more... )

So I am persisting in my foolishness of trying to make up a jumper pattern as my first ever sweater project. I'm using a shirt I cut apart as a template, so hopefully when I'm done, it'll fit alright. If not, learning experience, right ( Read more... )

When we were trying to get our internet working again, we had to see if we had actual internet. So I plugged the internet cable directly into my computer, and set up a network that way. AND IT KEPT TRYING TO CONNECT TO THE INTERNET THROUGH THAT, even though it was ALREADY connected to the internet through wireless.

But you know what? This just doesn't cut it. I asked our landlords to fix the weatherstripping, since it's old and letting the heat out. He said he'd fix it, and that we just need to let the wood glue dry. I didn't check, I know I need to next time. This is what I found.( Dad, these pictures are for you. :D )
