Well, Mom is back in the hospital after two more visits to the emergency room. Nothing critical- her electrolytes dropped off again. ( Details here. )

Today is my day for chores... partly because instead of Monday I have this Sunday off. So naturally, it's pouring and will be all day. Yesterday being one of my days off, after I did the chores, I made a cheesecake for Easter dinner. This is a new recipe so I'll share if it's any good. I had planned to make the 20 layer cake... but I've never made it before and I have learned from painful experience that the very first time you make a new fancy dish, it shouldn't be for a holiday ( Read more... )

Today is both National and Worldwide Quilting Day- I can't do much since I have to work but I'm washing the fabrics for the Irish Chain border (and will hang them to dry while I'm at work) and I'll get to stitch a little on the Irish Chain top when I get home.

Well, we finally got the winter storm that the weathermen have been bleating about on Wednesday night/Thursday morning. And when I woke up, there was 8" of snow on the ground and my road was a white icy mess. So I called in to work saying that I would be in as soon as the roads were safe enough for me to drive.
