This is a drawing Lilly did at school. I'm not sure if it's a turkey or a dinosaur, but whatever it is it has a digestive tract.

One of our assignments for drawing class is to take a children's story and give it a humorous twist.  I've settled on Cinderella sitting in a chair, her foot in a big cast, crutches laying on the floor, and the poor prince kneeling off to the side holding the shoe.  A little dark but everyone I showed my initial sketch to laughed at it.  I'll share ( Read more... )

Since I am technically an art major I suppose I can share some of my work.  These are two projects for my drawing class. They're pretty random, but really, when is art NOT random?

Lilly was a Cowgirl. It really suits her rough-and-tumble personality and she loved the "hu-see" (horsey for those who don't speak toddler) that I made for her.

Monet, the ever popular impresionist artist from the late 1800s into the early 1900s was slowly going blind.  I wonder sometimes if the way he painted was effected by his eyesight.  When I take off my glasses everything looks blury and out of focus, much like his later paintings apear.

It's an interesting theory if nothing else.
