Here are the infamous pictures! I remembered! Yay!
Anyway, in chronilogical order:
Halloween,
Lilly was a Cowgirl. It really suits her rough-and-tumble personality and she loved the "hu-see" (horsey for those who don't speak toddler) that I made for her.
Alta wanted to be Tinkerbell, so I found a pattern at Hobby Lobby and pulled out the sewing machine. Took about a week for it all to come together but it turned out really well.
The wand and wings light up (thank you Oma for buying those!) but it wasn't showing with the flash on. This meant that my absolute love of abstract photography came forth and we did some Light Art with no flash. If I were to put this in a gallery it would be titled "Fairy Circles"
The next thing I finished after Halloween was done was painting the Girls' room in pink stripes
as well as making my wall-art inspired by
morningloryblue's tree icon.
As I was hanging the pictures Alta looked at it and said "Mommy, THAT's not my room! That's a Park."
Note to self: buy some scrapbook tape-dots to hold those pictures straight.
And finally Sunday was the big party.
Alta's requested cake was described in detail as a Pink, Round Castle Cake. This is what I came up with.
We played "Pin the Crown on the Princess" I noticed as I was painting said Princess (she was a blown-up clip art that I painted over) that these popular large-eyed people could easily be aliens. Really, give her green skin and big black eyes and see what you come up with!
And some bonus pictures as long as I'm at it.
Alta and Joe doing "Thumbs Up" and being cute. No, he's not high, he just looks like it in every picture ever taken. :)
Alta got into the Floss Picks and made a little forest in the carpet. I wasn't too pleased but the picture was too good to pass up so she didn't get in trouble. Durn my love of the abstact!
And finally, one more of Lilly (actualy sitting still holy cow!) because Alta's sort of taken the spot light in this post.
