Weekend from hell is still ongoing. We spent ALL DAY Saturday shopping for a new couch. Finally got one at 7:30pm. Won't be here until the end of the month, but it's big and comfortable and awesome. We also got a coffee table and an end table. I think once I recover the rose colored chairs, that'll be it for furniture in the living room. The couch ( Read more... )

I'm okay, Mom's okay but her neighborhood is thrashed. She was very lucky to just have limbs down. There are houses all over her neighborhood with trees in them. There are also a lot of power lines down and a transformer in the middle of the road. Power's not expected to be restored anytime soon, and phones are out too.
