Monday, I worked, and then I came home and tried to sew, but mostly I took my sewing machine apart to find out why the thread was going in white, but going on the fabric grey. I am at the stage of the job where it's like tech writing, but with madlibs. I don't know what the words mean, or what the context is, but I can construct perfectly grammatical sentences with them. It's a known state, but tedious*. However, I have hope that Monday I will get out from under the release notes, which are all I've been doing this month ( Read more... )

One of the interesting things about Agile development is that it assumes good will, or at least professionalism. The team is assumed to code together, no one is in charge of assignments, although there are scheduling coordinators, and no one can tell another person how long it will take to do a unit of work. I'm walking through the tech docs internal documentation (no, I still don't have my software), and getting all excited. This is one of the most intentional and philisophical doc groups I have worked with (probably because I have specialized in people who need structure, not people who already have it).
