Well, the assembly step I was worrying about turns out to have been a justified concern. I ended up hacking something together in one corner, and I was within about half an inch of being right on the next corner, but close is only good enough in horseshoes and hand-grenades. Do the pieced borders look too busy with the highly pieced center?

Anything else I ought to do before I sew the top all the way together? Because I do NOT want to rip out any part of this that comes near the piping.

sil made me dinner, and we watched four episodes of Firefly, and I sewed the outer row of piping on the quilt and looked at the borders. I think they'll work. I am currently in angst, but that 's a normal stage.

Anyone have a couple yards of lining lying around? It's time to start sil's vest, and I'm fresh out.
