And in quilting news

sil was a hero of the revolution and sallied forth upon his motorcycle to get my replacement sewing-machine lightbulb. I think he likes walking into bastions of girliness like sewing machine stores, carrying his helmet.

And I registered for my two quilt-ins (I try to average one a month), and an actual quilting class. Woo! It's a class about piecing circles (woo scary) with Dale Fleming's technique. I am a tiny bit put out that the class is $45 and I still have to buy books and materials, but that's the way it goes. I'm so excited about being able to add round elements without hysterics. I suspect, from what I've read, it might also be possible to adapt the technique to my other problem area, set-ins.

So hopefully after I defeat this evil Word, I can do some work on K's quilt and finish up the top, and then Kay's quilt, which I need to get going on to have for her first birthday.
