So I called potential-new-doctor today and it sounds like I'm good to change over. 
The receptionist was nice and answered all my questions. 
No, I don't need an NHS card, yes I can just bring in a repeat prescription and they'll add it to their system, and yes I can keep ordering repeat prescriptions via my local supermarket pharmacy.

I made a jellyfish for Gill's birthday.  By rights it should have been three, but if I'd had to make two more I'd have cried.  It turned out much harder than it was marked as in the book, but my only consolation is that the good folks on Ravelry ( Read more... )

Today Ceri professed the desire to learn knitting. 
So while hammerhydra et al are playing at superheroes on Tuesday, I am planning on starting her on the beginners' book I learned from.  Win!

Today I completed the present I was making hammerhydra  for Valentine's day.  I made him a replacement for his missing neck-warmer, which is known in our household as a 'shwoo-warmer'.  (Shwoo - for those not in the know - is our term for tiny roborovski hamsters.  I forget why exactly, only that it was a corruption of shrew).  The shwoo-warmer is called such ( Read more... )
