1. What is your all time favorite book? I've always loved the third book in Stephen King's Dark Tower series, The Waste Lands. It's where the story really picked up and showed potential of being an all-time fantasy classic! Unfortunately all that momentum came to a screeching halt with the release of the fourth book and its 600-page flashback. :-/ ( Read more... )

A bit of background... While perusing The Strand's 18 miles of books a couple of weeks ago, I came across a bunch of kid books by Louis Sachar, who was my favorite author when I was in elementary school. Tonight, I had a grilled cheese sandwich. I don't know why I'm posting this; perhaps it's because I can't remember the last time I had a grilled cheese and it was awesome.

Now, I'm going to do the dishes and then finish The Kite Runner.

I've read about 350 pages of the newest Harry Potter book over the past 24 hours... It feels like old times again! I used to be a big reader, maybe going through 2-3 books per week, but I've really tapered off lately. Not sure why, exactly... But anyways, I'm diggin' the new book.
