Reading times are here again...
I've read about 350 pages of the newest Harry Potter book over the past 24 hours... It feels like old times again! I used to be a big reader, maybe going through 2-3 books per week, but I've really tapered off lately. Not sure why, exactly... But anyways, I'm diggin' the new book. This series has really become somewhat of a guilty pleasure for me, and in my opinion it ranks up there with the best fantasy epics of all time. Of course for me, Stephen King's Dark Tower is still number one! :-D
Today was a total recharge day. I started feeling guilty about not doing any work around the house (unless you count running the dishwasher - ha!) but then I remembered it was Saturday and I told that nagging voice in my head to piss off. And that, surprisingly, is when I started doing stuff. :-P First up was a haircut from Stifler's Mom at the local barber shop. We call her that because, well... If you saw her, you'd understand. >=) Then it was home for a quick shower so I wouldn't be itching all day, and then it was off to Geoff's to give NCAA Football 2006 a whirl. A quick stop to Best Buy and then Roadhouse Grill for dinner... All-in-all, not a bad night!
Think I'll watch an episode of The Shield and then curl up in bed with my pooch and my book. I love the weekends. :-D
