Found out that my dog, who we thought was going to make it through surgery/treatment for cancer ok, got really, really, really bad this weekend.  They're putting her down tonight.  I'm going to go take a shower, and possibly cry myself to sleep.

There's one thing I really hate about going to the beach.  I usually get hurt somehow.  I went a couple weekends ago, and got sunburned, and now it itches like hell because it's peeling and I can't see the damn burns because I got burned on my back!  Fucking Scotish complexion.  Course, last time I got stung by a jellyfish, and that was no fun.

So this morning I made pancakes... which was nice, y'know, fresh home-made pancakes.  And I'm cooking them on a griddle on the stove-top, which means it has a tendency to slide around.  So I've got a sillicone pot-holder that I'm using to hold the griddle in place when I want to flip the pancakes over.  Fine.  Everythings all fine and dandy.  Until ( Read more... )

Having the bell of a baritone whack you in the back of the head can be very painful. Especially when it's hard enough to make you see spots and have to sit down. Now I'm dizzy, and I've got a mind-splitting headache. First time I've had my brain to myself in a long time though. And silent.

My shoulder is acting up again.  And I tried putting ice on it before it got bad, but it didn't do anything.  It just kinda, delayed the inevitable.  Only, this time, it never got up to the point where it's so excruciating I almost pass out.  Which is, apparently, what has to happen before it starts to feel better, because it's aching, STILL.
